Hockey India President Releases Delhi OTHL’s Five-Year Brochure

One Thousand Hockey Legs (Delhi Chapter) has completed five years of its operation in Delhi last December. To mark the occasion, OTHL has brought out a 40-page colourful information brochure.

Dr. Narender Dhruv Batra, President, Hockey India, which governs the sport in India, released the Brochure at his chamber yesterday, the 16th March 2016.

Coaches invited for training OTHL’s team for HI Sub-Jr National Championship

Hockey Citizen Group which runs its flagship project One Thousand Hockey Legs invites interested coaches to apply for training and managing Sub-Junior boys’ team for the forthcoming Hockey India Men’s Sub-Junior National Championship to be held in Imphal, Manipur in the first week of May 2016.

This NGO is affiliated with Hockey India, by virtue of it we are given direct entry for the Hockey India National Championship.

OTHL team for Nagaon National Championship announced

Defender Juma Shree will lead an 18-member Citizen Hockey XI team for the 6th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women’s National championship to be held at Nagaon, a town about 120 km from Guwahati, in Assam from 5th Jan.

The team has been selected after most girls from the One Thousand Hockey Legs subscribed schools in Kolkata and sparingly from other parts took part in a two-phase selection trails held last month.

In a heartening development of sort, two boys from the globally acclaimed One Thousand Hockey Legs, project of Delhi based Not-for-profit organization Hockey Citizen Group, have made their organization proud by emerging glorious in a tight trials for the newly put out National Hockey Academy.

Asia’s oldest school, Anglo-Arabic Senior Secondary school, located near New Delhi Railway Junction, won the inter-school hockey cup it staged with the patronage of One Thousand Hockey Legs.

One Thousands Hockey Legs (OTHL) have last year appeared under Global Projects series of the Federation Internationale de Hockey (FIH).

Even before that ever since Delhi based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Hockey Citizen Group -- which innovated and put on board its flagship program OTHL – put in efforts aiming enhanced appeal to wider spectrum of people, societies, nations, cultures in order to transform its underprivileged kids into a an enlightened minds.

Developing sustained passion for Hockey by introduction of Hockey to pre and early teenaged children and simultaneously promoting playing sport as a culture and tradition, thereby contributing to develop a sports loving society.
